Upon the cross, the Son of Man

Splayed between both heaven and land

God’s only Son for all to see

The Righteousness of God nailed to a tree

This moment foretold before time began

 

Who would have thought this be the plan

To reconcile and restore sinful man

That God would make peace with his enemies

Upon the cross

 

Between nail pierced hands, his true love spanned

Time eternal to bring God’s grand

Vision, to proclaim his royal decree

Sin forgiven, God’s guarantee

Of our restoration by His own hand

Upon the Cross.
